MediaPlannix

Most media plans start with an assumption about the audience: an age band, an income label, a demographic guess. MediaPlannix starts with what households actually earn, spend and buy, mapped building by building across India. It is a marketing planning and effectiveness product for media agencies and brands, delivered as a module on Geomarketeer and connected to Persona 360 and Karma.

What this means in practice is simple. MediaPlannix can produce a complete, defensible media plan before your client has sent a single file. The underlying data universe is pan-India, already built, and independent of any one client.

4 Questions Every Media Plan Needs to Answer

A media plan is really just four questions, answered well. MediaPlannix is built around them.

Who is the audience, really, defined by what they earn, spend and buy, not by a demographic label. Where are they, located building by building and ranked by the size of the opportunity. How are they reachable, online, on the street, at the door, or already sitting in the client's own customer base. And what did the last rupee actually cause, measured against matched control markets rather than numbers reported by the platform that sold the media.

Answering these well is what separates a plan built on data from a plan built on intuition.

Where the Data Comes From

None of this works without a foundation, so it helps to know what that foundation is.

It is built entirely on anonymised, aggregated data, with no personally identifiable information involved anywhere.

Kentrix maintains a building-level consumer universe covering

920M+
Indians
7,989
urban centres
642,537
rural villages
Independently audited
93.7%
accuracy

For any location in India, defined by a drive-time catchment, this is available from day one, before any client data enters the picture.

Who lives there: their income, education and lifestyle profile.

What they earn: spend across nine categories, and buy across FMCG, fashion, travel, real estate and more.

How they buy: including online purchase intensity down to the building level.

Where they go: based on footfall patterns by lifestyle segment.

What surrounds them: from points of interest across 22 categories.

This is the layer that lets MediaPlannix start on day one, whether or not the client has shared anything yet.

Five Modules That Build on Each Other

MediaPlannix is organised into five modules, each answering a specific planning question and feeding the next.

01
It begins with
Audience definition and market sizing

Translates a brand's target audience into observed terms and locates it building by building, in any catchment, city or across India.

02
Once spend data is available
Spend-to-potential gap analysis

Overlays it against demand potential by geography, showing where spend is running ahead of the audience and where it's falling short.

03
From there
Channel mix recommendation

Splits the budget across four routes: online, OOH, door-to-door and existing customers, weighted by observed signals rather than a planner's judgment call.

04
Takes this further
OOH and door-to-door tactical planning

Scoring individual sites on audience quality instead of gross traffic, and sequencing field routes by building-level affinity.

05
The final module
Effectiveness measurement and optimisation

This is where the plan proves itself. Incremental lift is measured against statistically matched control markets built from Kentrix data, not from the client's own campaign history. This is what makes measurement possible from the very first campaign, not the third. The resulting response curves feed back into the channel mix module, so each plan improves on the one before it.

Three of these five modules run without any client data at all. The other two activate as spend and outcome data become available.

Start with Nothing, Add Data as You’re Ready

Because the data foundation already exists, MediaPlannix doesn't need to wait on a client's systems to begin. It works in tiers instead, each one additive and each one useful on its own.

Tier 0
You share

Nothing is needed from the client beyond a brief: brand, category, target definition and markets in scope.

This adds

Audience sizing, channel mix, OOH and door-to-door plans, and a Persona 360 activation plan, enough to support a pitch before the client has signed anything.

Tier 1
You share

Media spend by channel and geography.

This adds

Gap analysis and response curves.

Tier 2
You share

Outcome data such as sales or footfall.

This adds

Incrementality measurement.

Tier 3
You share

A customer file.

This adds

The existing-customer route into the plan through Karma.

No tier requires access to the client's ad accounts or internal systems. Agencies often start at Tier 0 to support a pitch, then move up the tiers once the client is signed.

Part of a Connected System, Not a Standalone Tool

MediaPlannix doesn't operate on its own. It sits inside the Kentrix stack, hosted on Geomarketeer and connected directly to Persona 360 and Karma, so the audience defined at the planning stage is the same one that gets activated and measured later. Nothing is redefined or lost in translation between planning, buying and measurement.

Geomarketeer supplies the underlying catchment engine and building-level profiles the whole plan runs on. Persona 360 takes the recommended digital budget and turns it into real, addressable audiences across 545M+ MAIDs, activated directly on Meta, Google and programmatic. Karma takes the client's existing customer base and enriches each record with income and spend behavior, turning retention from a line item into a sized, targeted opportunity. And where a client also runs physical stores, StorePlannix and StorePerformix help align media weight to the locations with the largest gap between potential and actual revenue.

Compliant by Design

Working with consumer data at this scale means compliance has to be built in from the start. No PII is used or shared anywhere in the system; the entire Kentrix universe is built on anonymised, aggregated data. It is designed to align with India's DPDP Act and GDPR, on ISO 27001-certified security standards. Client data is used only to deliver the contracted engagement, and identifiers like address, MAID or GPS are used solely to match records, never retained beyond that. Nothing a client shares is ever pooled into the wider Kentrix universe or used for another client's benefit.

What Each Engagement Delivers

Every engagement produces a working set of outputs: an Audience & Market Opportunity Report that sizes and locates the target audience, a Channel Mix Recommendation with expected reach and cost per target audience reached, a Spend-to-Potential Gap View once spend data is shared, a scored OOH Site Shortlist and a sequenced Door-to-Door Route Plan, a live Persona 360 Activation Plan ready to run, and an Effectiveness Read showing real incremental lift once outcome data comes in. All of it is accessible through an interactive Geomarketeer dashboard.
